Russell-Murray Hospice Care
Setting high standards of hospice care across generations
Russell-Murray Hospice was co-founded and established in 1988 by two registered nurses who were dedicated to the provision of excellent end-of-life care. The hospice was named in memory of the founder’s fathers, John Mart Russell and Hardee LeRoy Murray, who both suffered with terminal illnesses. Russell-Murray Hospice is the only free-standing, open access, non-profit 501(c)(3) hospice serving central and western Oklahoma. Operating as a non-profit hospice allows us to care for all who qualify for services, regardless of ability to pay.
Their mission is to enrich the lives of individuals and families by providing a comprehensive, personalized program of services delivered by trusted, caring professionals, emphasizing quality of life, comfort, dignity and personal choices. They aim to serve communities as a leading resource in clinical, ethical and spiritual issues relating to life-limiting illnesses and grief.
In KicKee caring fashion, we aimed to help Russell-Murray exceed their high standards by sending them hundreds of buttery-soft items they will provide as admission gifts for the little ones in their care, including tops, bottoms, footies, coveralls, onesies, loveys, PJ sets, dresses, rompers and snuggly swaddles. We also sent them KicKee’s very own books and plush toys!
